Have you ever been to a club or gay bar where they still practice the art of "flagging"?
What I mean is this..when a person wears a certain color hankerchief in their back pocket on a certain side to indicate if they are the "top" or "bottom" of that particular activity and certain colors indicate certain things they are into.
Here's a website to explain it.

I"ve heard of this a lot, but have never been anywhere where I've actually seen it used in practice.
I've been to a few places where people still use the hanky code.
Even when hankies were popular, it struck me as kind of ridiculous -- the lighting in bars is so low that you could never adequately see the colors of a little bit of cloth hanging out of a pocket.
In Europe they did a smarter thing -- people tied them around their necks so the colors could be seen better. If the knot was in front it meant "top," and if in back it meant "bottom."
