Early release from hospital after giving birth?
I would like to request an early release after giving birth (6 hours). Can anyone share their experiences of this and if they had any complications afterwards.
This is my first baby. I also wondered, if all goes well how limited will my movements be, how sore will i be afterwards?
Thanks everyone. I am in the UK, i have asked the midwife about how long i'd have to stay in hospital (because i have panic attacks and anxiety, i don't want to be there longer than i have to) and it was the midwife who said if all was well i can get an early release after 6 hours. I understand if there are any complications with me or the baby then this can't happen.
Wait until you've had the baby before deciding as you wont know how you feel. Having a baby is hard work and you will have lots of questions and worries as its your first so staying in at least a day would be a good idea.
Edit; if you have panic attacks that may be an even better reason to stay in hospital a bit longer. Babies can be a big worry and having a nurse to hand would maybe help you to be able to relax and enjoy baby.
